Beauty In The Sunrise

This morning I caught the sunrise through my front door. I have always been fascinated with the beauty that the rising and setting sun brings us. As I grow older I find myself missing more and more of those moments. At the beginning and end of each day, God provides us with a familiar but incredibly new masterpiece and we have grown so accustomed to it that we forget it's even there. As I looked out my front door this morning I was reminded that someone once told me that all those colors in the painted sky are the result of pollution, and it's the sun's position shining through all that filth and pollution that allows us to see these colors in the sky. In the same way that the sun shines through all the earth's filth and pollution and brings us something beautiful each day, so does the Son of God shine through our filthy, polluted lives creating something beautiful. It's easy to look at others and only see the pollution that fills their lives, but we need to consider the sunrise and understand when God shines through all things are made beautiful.
